Encaustic Monotypes on Panel
About
Encaustic monotypes are created by painting with pigmented encaustic wax on a specially designed heated plate. A print is made by gently placing paper onto the heated plate, allowing the heated wax to transfer to the paper's surface resulting in a permanent, one-of-a-kind impression that captures marks, textures and colors of the original composition. Each print can stand alone as a finished work or can be torn, cut, layered and reassembled into collage. creartions s.
