A Common Thread — four artists, one connection

Published January 18, 2025

Porter Mill has long been a place where disciplined studio practice meets conversation across disciplines. “A Common Thread, 4 Artists: 1 Connection” was an invitation to place four distinct voices in one room and let the echoes between them do the teaching.

I joined as curator and as a participant—thinking about rhythm across the walls, pause between pieces, and the quiet through-line that carried from encaustic to oil to mixed surfaces.
